A Brief History
Not much is known about Feedle, apart from the fact he's from Sheffield in the north of England.
It's been said that he's A DJ who can't mix, a musician who can't be bothered to make music and a performer who hates performing.. It's all lies I tell you.
Luckily for us he's managed to record an album... and what an album it is.
Leave Now for Adventure is the tale of one man's dogged pursuit of the finest electronic melodies, ragged drunken beats and howling noise. The resulting racket is two parts life affirming to one part paint stripper. To ensure full enjoyment, stereo equipment should be set to LOUD. |

Update - 10/06/06
STOP PRESS: Sheffield's favourite purveyor of odd melodic noise Feedle
has been signed up by a record label, and 'Leave Now For Adventure' will
be getting a physical release later on this year. As a result of this,
the album has to be removed from this website and is no longer available
to purchase as a download from SVC Records. To be kept updated on all
things Feedle, head over to Feedle.co.uk |
Reviews
"An amazing piece of music..." "Throbbing..."- Huw Stephens BBC Radio 1
"That certainly snapped me out of a lethargic mood..." - Steve Lamacq BBC Radio 1
"Feedle has a take on electronica which is utterly original and unlike anything else out there. Childlike melodies played through rasping sounds and scattering, messy beats. It's noisy yet beautiful at the same time." - Ninjatune
"An album of almost wordless dance and electronica crafted from beats, samples and other generally pretty though occasionally abrasive noise, this is the kind of pared down but creative oddity that John Peel would have loved." - Gigwise
"The most satisfying electronica album of the year... 9/10"
"It may come from a near-wordless place with a synthetic heartbeat, but this album packs the sort of intense emotion and hot, blustery passion that by rights should have people fawning over it past a time when the bar is raised even higher. You deserve Feedle in your life, and, frankly, Feedle deserves you." - Drowned in Sound
"i reckon folks who like the laptop funk of four tet and various melodic releases, who don't mind a dash of dj shadow styled loops, set alongside subtle layers of guitar a la my bloody valentine (the epic 'burn the fields') will love it."- i really love music
